At ARKEN you can experience modern art, contemporary art and striking architecture which alone merits a visit.

At the moment you can see the exhibition: CARL-HENNING PEDERSEN 100 YEARS, ALL TOGETHER NOW... and QIU ANXIONG: THE NEW BOOK OF MOUNTAINS AND SEAS II  You can also enjoy the museum's DAMIEN HIRST exhibition in the foyer and ANSELM REYLE exhibition in the DETLEFS HALL.

ARKEN also has a wonderful museum shop full of art books and exclusive design and a café with a nice view of Køge Bay.

Combine your visit to the museum with a trip out into the countryside. Just around the corner is one of Denmark's most beautiful sandy beaches. In addition to that are Ishøj Harbour and the scenic area - Strandparken - 5 minutes walk from the museum.
