At ARKEN you can experience modern art, contemporary art and striking architecture which alone merits a visit.

In the beginning of September 2009 ARKEN got a new extension that makes the museum experience even better.  

At the moment you can see the exhibitions MIRÓ - I Work Like A Gardener, UTOPIA - Katharina Grosse and Oluf Høst - Between Heaven and Earth. ARKEN’s Collection of contemporary art, including Olafur Eliassons spectaculare work Your negotiable panorama and a unique Damien Hirst room is permanently exhibited. 

In the shop you can borrow an IPod and hear about the art. You may also enjoy the view of Køge Bay from the café, or buy exclusive Danish design in our shop.
