Exhibitions
ARKEN's exhibitions present art after 1945 featuring Danish, Nordic and international artists - from the new, young talents to household names.
In addition to the museum's mission to exhibit contemporary art, ARKEN also approaches the classical Modernist artists from a new perspective.

Collection
ARKEN's collection comprises more than 300 works of art. The main part of them can be seen in ARKEN's permanent exhibition ARKEN's COLLECTION.

ARKEN collects Danish, Nordic and international art with special emphasis on contemporary art, i.e. works from 1990 onwards. There are two unifying principles in the collection: one is art concerned with the existence of modern man, the other focuses on art that via new forms, materials and media explores the very definition of art.
