FluxusA branch of action art which emerged in USA and Western Europe around 1960. It is not a stable group of artists but rather a movement characterised by various action forms including dance, theatre, music, poetry readings and pantomime. Fluxus is based on the audience's active participation and intervention, thus creating unpredictable and random courses of events. Fluxus has a number of Danish followers; among the international artists John Cage (US) and Joseph Beuys (D) are the most famous. Per Kirkeby, John Kørner, Tal R
