They have alle studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and always exhibit jointly under the company name Superflex.
Their work bridges various cultural fields and they cooperate with people from many different occupational groups. Besides the Biogas plant in Africa the group have started their own record company, Superflex Music, which has put out several albums.
Superflex's projects always involve the audience and encourage active participation. As an example, Superflex make it possible for people to broadcast programmes on the internet on www.superchannel.org which serves as an open platform for different forms of dialogue.
Superflex have exhibited at home and abroad, including Louisiana (1997), New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York (1998), Kunsthalle Wien (2000), Berlin Biennalen, Barbican in London (2001), Kunstverein Wolfsburg (2001), Rooseum in Malmö, Gwangju Biennial (2002), KIASMA in Helsinki and the Venice Biennial (2003), Schirn kunsthalle in Frankfurt (2004), Kunsthalle Basel, Danish Design Centre in Copenhagen, Istanbul Biennalen (2005), Art Basel (2007), Art Festival Haugesund in Norway (2008).
They have held seminars and accepted the Danish Critics' Award in 1997.
Superflex are represented in several Danish museums, including Statens Museum for Kunst and the National Museum of Photography in Copenhagen as well as Galerie für zeitgenössische Kunst in Leipzig.
