KATHARINA GROSSE

Katharina Grosse trained at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf. Today she lives and works in Düsselfdorf and Berlin, e.g. Grosse is employed as professor at Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee. In 2000 she was nominated for German National Gallery’s prize for young art.


Grosse has exhibited countless times all over the world, including Projektraum, Kunsthalle Bern / the Sydney Biennial (1998) Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin (2000) the São Paulo Biennial / White Cube, London (2002) Berlinische Galerie, Berlin (2003) Magasin 3 Stockholm Konsthall / Kunsthallen Brandts Klædefabrik, Odense (2004) Palais de Tokyo, Paris / Bergen Kunsthall (2005) De Appel, Amsterdam / Fabrikken for Kunst og Design, Copenhagen / Mori Art Museum, Tokyo / the Taipei Biennial (2006) Queensland Art Gallery, Brisbane / FRAC Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand (2007) Centro di Cultura Contemporanea Strozzina, Palazzo Strozzi, Firenze (2008) Kunsthalle Berlin (2009).
