On these pages you can read about ARKEN’s many teaching programmes for children and young people. ARKEN offers teaching and digital workshops in special exhibitions, our collection and ARKEN’s architecture for children at 0th-5th grade, upper secondary school and for high school students.
Throughout 2014, artist Palle Nielsen’s legendary 1968 work The Model is installed in ARKEN’s biggest gallery, the Art Axis. The Model is an installation in the form of a playground where children can play, move around and express themselves freely. There are tractor inner tubes, foam bouncy castles, paint, cardboard and paper, dress-up clothes, face paint and music, even a plant workshop.
During school holidays ARKEN arranges workshops, concerts etc. for children and young people.
YouthARKEN BGK is for young people between the ages of 15 and 25 years. BGK – or Billedkunstnerisk GrundKursus (general pictorial course) – is a talent school. If you are accepted at ARKEN BGK, you can extend your general upper secondary education with one year.
