In partnership with Apple, ARKEN has opened a regional training center (RTC) for creative digital learning at the museum. The training center offers ongoing digital workshops for teachers, taking off from the museum’s exhibitions and architecture. You will learn such skills as producing and distributing photos, videos and audio for websites, mobile phones and iPods.
The aim of ARKEN’s workshops is inspiring teachers to use digital tools in the classroom.
The museum has years of experience offering digital-technology courses for students from middle schools, high schools and teacher’s colleges. We wish to expand our target group and equip teachers with a better foundation for integrating IT and museum fieldtrips into the classroom. It has been our experience that digital workshops motivate students to learn more. Producing and critiquing their own digital audio and video files, students of all abilities go further in their cognitive processes when dialoguing with art at the museum.
ARKEN offers digital workshops for teachers who want to work with digital media in the classroom. Each workshop is adapted to individual needs.
