AN INTERCHANGE BETWEEN SCHOOLS AND THE MUSEUM
A journey into contemporary art and architecture is designed as a helping hand in an expanded partnership with you, the teacher. We want your visit to ARKEN to be an integrated part of the classroom, not just a one-off event. The program accordingly is devised as an interchange between the school and the museum. The vision for the partnership is to ensure that students get a working knowledge of art, while stimulating their ability to reflect and see themselves and their world through art.
THE ARKEN TEACHER’S TOOL
To aid this partnership between schools and the museum, ARKEN has developed a set of teaching materials – the ARKEN Teacher’s Tool – featuring materials for the teacher and age-specific teaching materials, including postcards of artworks from ARKEN’s collection for classroom use.
The program is designed as an interchange to stimulate students’ reflection and language skills, while developing their knowledge and understanding of contemporary art and architecture.
Courses accommodate classes with many bilingual students by focusing on intercultural aspects and students’ verbal development.
