ARKEN BGK is for young people between the ages of 15 and 25 years. BGK – or Billedkunstnerisk GrundKursus (general pictorial course) – is a talent school. If you are accepted at ARKEN BGK, you can extend your general upper secondary education with one year.
At ARKEN BGK you are given an optimum opportunity to develop your artistic talent in inspiring surroundings. ARKEN’s Collection, changing special exhibitions and research will provide the basis for the teaching. The teaching is done by professional artists and ARKEN’s art teachers.
If you wish to join artistic or creative educational institutions such as the academies of art, the architect and design schools, the film and photography schools, the writers school, as well as educations in experience economy, graphic design, animation/comics, games development etc., BGK is the education that can open those doors for you.
ARKEN BGK is developed in collaboration with CPH West and Ishøj School of Music and with support from the Danish Arts Council and the BG Foundation.
