Rent the Museum

ARKEN is uniquely located in the middle of beautiful nature overlooking Køge Bay. The meeting between art and nature makes the museum a great place to hold events and events.

It is easy to get to the museum by car, by bike and by train. There are plenty of free parking spaces and a nice kitchen where we cook from scratch and can handle special requests.

Here you can hold large conferences, gala dinners, product launches, award ceremonies, photo shoots, fashion shows, company workshops, corporate events, receptions and small meetings.

The beautiful architecture of the museum, the exhibitions, the sculpture park and the beach create the perfect setting for any event. We have at our disposal eight unique rooms for rent with capacity from 10 to 500 guests. Whether you are planning a confidential meeting in our exclusive Partner Lounge, a conference in our concert hall or a larger reception in Kunstassen, we offer inspiring settings that can be adapted to your event.

Also consider whether you want to enrich your conference, meeting or event with an inspiring visit to the museum's exhibitions, a creative workshop, a private tour or a lecture. Together we can develop the one that best suits your event.

Meetings and Conferences

Visitors to the museum come first. That's why our experienced events department is ready to tailor each offer and put together events in close partnership between you and ARKEN's kitchen and technicians. We coordinate everything from setting up interiors, audio and AV equipment to catering, and we assist with creative input.

You are always welcome to stop by for a non-binding conversation and a demonstration of our premises. We can be contacted at events@arken.dk.

Catering

ARKEN emphasizes the inclusion of the culinary as a central part of the event experience at the museum. Based on local, preferably organic ingredients, our chef tailors menus for all types of events. ARKEN offers everything from reception menus with simple dishes to seven-course tasting menus.

Guided tours for companies

Art Trolley — a very special tour

Take your colleagues on a tour like you've never experienced before! Guided by one of our skilled art mediators, you will be part of a joint study when the Art Trolley rolls into one of the museum's current exhibitions. Here we open up the works of the exhibition together through community exercises, and we share thoughts, whims and questions that arise in the process and give them new expression. The Art Cart tour format has been developed by our skilled teaching team and can only be experienced at ARKEN.

Art break — the classic tour

If you want to tour as we know them best, our art dealers are ready to take you around in one or more exhibitions according to your wishes. We convey with great professionalism and good mood and adapt the tour so that both experienced art fans and those of you who may be visiting ARKEN for the first time can think of a promising and inspiring joint 'art break' together.

ARKEN's Sculpture Park — tour of the open air

If you need fresh air and movement in the open air, take part in the discovery of ARKEN's unique sculpture park. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature around ARKEN while exploring sculptures you can climb on, rest on, move in or reflect in. An art mediator guides you through a shared experience that offers new perspectives on the interaction between art and nature and plenty of fresh air to your head. A ride on ARK's three-person swings created by the art trio Superflex completes the ride.

ARKEN's architecture — tour of time and space

In 1988, the then young architecture student Søren Robert Lund wins the competition to design a new museum for the Western Region. His visionary proposals are inspired by maritime forms and the idea of a stranded ship — a metaphor for the art that attaches to the landscape and brings with it new horizons. ARKEN was ready in 1996, but the building's journey does not end there. Take a journey through time in the museum's spaces — from original architecture, through renovations and remodels to the ARKEN today — peppered with anecdotes and behind-the-scenes stories.
