Kenneth Rasmussen’s exhibition tells the story of life as a person with special needs, living day-to-day alongside the rest of us – with all its ups and downs. He is known, among other things, from the DR2 TV series Originalerne (“The Originals”), which focuses on daily life at Bifrost, a creative art school for people with developmental disabilities in Randers. Kenneth Rasmussen creates large-scale works using plastic strips, channeling his racing thoughts through the materials and giving them an artistic form.

+ Find out moreCome to the family screening with BUSTER Film Festival at ARKEN in September. On Sunday 28 September 2025, the film “Historier til Maya” directed by Michel Gondry will be shown. Maya and her father, Michel, live in different countries, but they call each other every evening. ‘Maya, give me a title,’ he says. And because Maya's father is filmmaker Michel Gondry, Maya's ideas are transformed into small, colourful stop-motion films. With paper cut-outs, inventive craftsmanship and lots of twinkles in their eyes, father and daughter create a magical space. The film is a loving tribute to imagination, parenthood and the art of storytelling – and to the special bond that ties father and daughter together.
