All the best parts of a festival, the club, and long, light summer evenings gathered in one place – ARKEN Later? Let’s fill the museum with life, sound, and community. You can look forward to a communal long-table dinner with a vegetarian dish (85 DKK, limited seats), guided art tours, a talk featuring Mette Moestrup and Lea Guldditte Hestelund moderated by Luka Holmegaard, drop-in art workshops, and a music line-up curated by Real Live. There will also be an affordable bar and surprises throughout the evening. ARKEN Later? only requires a regular museum ticket (145 DKK / 125 DKK with valid student ID). If you want to join the long-table dinner, you can buy your ticket online here: https://shop.arken.dk/events/arken-later-billet-til-langbordsmiddag/ The music program includes performances by Varg2TM, Haloplus+, Soli-City, Sonic Erection, Franarchy, and How Goes. Author and critic Luka Holmegaard, the regular moderator of ARKEN Later?, will host a talk on October 2, 2025, between poet and writer Mette Moestrup – known for her experimental and sensory exploration of femininity, mythology, and language – and visual artist Lea Guldditte Hestelund, whose practice revolves around the body, materiality, and transformation, often drawing on sci-fi and mythological themes. Together, they will discuss what happens when materials from nature and the body – such as beeswax, leather, marble, or blood – are brought into the artistic space. How can art help connect us as humans to the world around us, to other species, and to our past and future? The conversation will explore art and literature as spaces where body, myth, nature, and politics intersect, in connection with the current exhibition of Marguerite Humeau’s artistic universe. Come as you are – talk, share a meal, experience the art, be creative, listen, and dance.
