ARKEN Later? takes its point of departure in the exhibition Chameleon by Monira Al Qadiri – a sensuous and shimmering exploration of oil, identity, power, and the global economy. With the exhibition’s mutable universe as its focal point, the evening unfolds in a program where art, literature, and club culture mirror and challenge one another.

As night falls, ARKEN transforms into a pulsating club space filled with eurodance and uncompromising energy. Look forward to iconic bangers from DJ Aligator, an intense DJ set by NURSE, and boundary-pushing performances by dragongirl and the debuting Aime & Claude.

The evening also features an author talk on sci-fi, speculation, and sleek pop aesthetics as prisms for contemporary political realities. ARKEN Later? invites Lone Aburas for a conversation about her book The Free World – a dystopian high school drama about hypocrisy, wellness culture, and global inequality. How can visions of the future help us understand today’s crises and social dynamics? In dialogue with Luka Holmegaard, the book is contextualized in relation to Chameleon and Al Qadiri’s artistic investigation of power, desire, and global structures.

Satisfy your hunger at ARKEN’s vegetarian long-table dinner, where the café serves a selection of tarts, fresh green salad, homemade focaccia, and whipped butter – perfect fuel before hitting the dance floor.
Please purchase your long-table dinner ticket in advance.
