Troldspejlet is coming to Arken. Experience the exhibition (POP-UP) Troldspejlet x ARKEN from 17.11.27 - 02.05.27. An interactive universe that looks back at the science fiction stories we grew up with and ahead to the worlds and technologies yet to come.

Science fiction is about new worlds, technological wonders, space travel, alien beings and humanity's encounters with the unknown. About the visions of the future we once dreamed of. In this pop-up exhibition, we invite you to step into the nostalgic world of science fiction.

Since 1989, Troldspejlet has followed the evolution of the genre across films, comics and video games – always with a keen eye for both the latest developments and the stories, characters and ideas that started it all.
For us, science fiction is not just about imagining what does not yet exist. It is also about remembering how wonderful it felt to imagine it in the first place.
A tribute to science fiction, nostalgia and the worlds we never stopped dreaming about.

“I’m a science fiction nostalgist. Because as much as I love the way every new science fiction idea makes us reflect on what it means to be human, I also love the memories the genre evokes. Dreams that may never have come true, but were simply wonderful in themselves. Adventures played out on other planets among strange aliens, unless, of course, they landed right here on our own Earth.”
– Jakob Stegelmann
