Learn to spot wild edible herbs in nature with a guide — and pick some to take home and use in a salad or pesto.
“Foraging” means “gathering” — in the past, knowing what you could (and couldn’t) eat from nature was essential knowledge. Now, you too can open your eyes to a whole new world in nature. Along the way, we’ll also get up close to a variety of outdoor artworks and learn more about them.
After the foraging walk, you can continue your visit in ARKEN’s new exhibition and discover how herbs and plants are used in art by French artist Marguerite Humeau. In the exhibition Torches, she has collaborated with foragers, biologists, and zoologists to create the works.
Practical information:
Duration: approx. 60 minutes with a foraging and art guide.
Meeting point: Outside ARKEN’s main entrance at 10:00 AM, under the wall artwork Where Do We Go From Here (the rainbow).
