Lærke Bagger is a knitwear designer and a trained textile designer specializing in hand knitting from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Since learning to knit at the age of eight, she has been knitting ever since. Through her designs, she challenges traditional approaches to knitting and uses unconventional materials like scrap yarn and beads—because in Lærke Bagger’s view, knitting should be humorous.
For the (POP-UP) exhibition at ARKEN, Lærke Bagger has teamed up with passionate knitting enthusiasts, each contributing their own unique version of the ‘Inner Child’ sweater.
