(POP-UP) WWF X ARKEN – The Face of Change
Meet 11 women who stand on the front lines every day to protect nature and fight the climate crisis. All around the world, women are changing the world — family by family, community by community — and pushing it in a more sustainable direction. They protect endangered animals. They lead reforestation projects. They create new job opportunities with sustainability at the core. These women are making a difference — not with words, but with action. The exhibition The Face of Change is a tribute to the strength, determination, and hard work of 11 remarkable women committed to nature conservation, climate adaptation, and sustainable development.
Photographer Petra Kleis has captured each of the 11 Kenyan women in the landscapes they are working to protect. The result is a series of powerful portraits telling the women's stories — from the savannah to the mangrove forests, the ocean, and the rainforest.
