Norwegian-born Danish artist Ann Lislegaard challenges our usual patterns of thought and sets in motion ideas about changing, future worlds in the exhibition Animoid, which opens up a beautiful, alien world that is at once seductive and frightening. Lislegaard is preoccupied with the breakdown in technology and in language. She examines the fissures of the known and the idea of the portal as a path to alternative dimensions where norms of gender and identity, the real and the artificial, are negotiable. Here are references to science fiction, the non-human and the artificially created.
Lislegaard is a pioneer in using digital technology, 3D animation and science-fiction from the 1990s to the present day. The exhibition explores current issues of technology, the virtual world, gender and humanity in sensuous total installations.
The tour can be booked by groups of up to 30 people and lasts 45 minutes. The price for a private tour is 850 DKK excluding entrance fee. Booking and cancellation of a private tour must be made no later than 10 days before the planned visit.

Danish artist Thomas Dambo is known worldwide for his monumental troll sculptures made from recycled materials. The sculptures celebrate the meeting of art, nature, imagination and the recycling of what others have discarded. They inspire reflection and wonder through physical play and shared experiences.
After a youth marked by hip hop, graffiti and street art, Thomas Dambo began experimenting with large-scale installations created from recycled materials. As a lifelong advocate of upcycling and audience involvement, Dambo constantly challenges the boundaries between art, adventure and activism. His works have transformed landscapes and communities, attracting audiences from around the world into a playful but also urgent conversation about waste, wonder and our relationship with the planet.

Once upon a time, the ARK will lie under water. Based on this future scenario, the Danish artist group SUPERFLEX has transformed the museum into an ark for all species — a sunken ship deep below sea level. Here, transport boxes are towering up. They feature works from SUPERFLEX's more than 30-year career: from the artist group's earliest works from 1993 to brand new productions. The boxes are both an archive of their art and, at the same time, the cargo of a ship — ready to be transported on, opened or left behind.
In the middle of the exhibition is The Ark Factory, where parts of a large sheet are manufactured. This sheet is not supposed to float, but will act as an artificial reef that can support biodiversity as sea levels rise. SUPERFLEX's ark becomes a platform for cross-species coexistence -- a vessel that carries life into the future, with or without man aboard. Insisting on action amid uncertainty, Come Hell or High Water unfolds as a space for preparation, collaboration and imaginative power.

55.6° north is the latitude at which ARKEN is located in the middle of the Copenhagen Vestegn. From here, the exhibition of Nordic contemporary art in ARKEN's collection asks questions about the world and reality that we live in right now. It's a time when geopolitical shifts are changing the region's relationship with the United States and Russia, and how much is changing. But what is it that is changing? How do we experience the global community? And what are we looking for in the Nordic traditions, ideas and cultures?
At 55.6° North, contemporary art explores a wide field of artistic expression and practices. From the ritual and mythical to the raw, bodily and political. The exhibition paints a picture of a strong and open Nordic art scene that examines the communities, values and power relations that are undergoing drastic change right now.
