
Is it acceptable to use profanity if it is printed on a sweater? Inspired by Kenneth Rasmussen's enormous knitted sculptures made from plastic bags and his linoleum prints filled with characters and statements that are straightforward, we invite museum visitors – both young and old – to engage in free knitting. One of our friendly volunteer knitting hosts will be on hand to help you get started. You can also try knitting in plastic bags like the artist. If you already know how to knit, you might want to try your hand at a motif from the exhibition. For example, you could embroider 'Goddammit' on your next warm jumper, if you're allowed to swear on your clothes, that is? Everyone can participate – children and adults, beginners and master knitters. Come and “knit your heart out” at the Kenneth Rasmussen exhibition every weekend from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. i 2025. Participation is free with admission to the museum. No registration is required.
