Come and see the football jersey from when Dad was a boy – and experience firsthand how the football jersey has evolved as a reflection of its time. For the first time ever, 150 unique football jerseys from Brøndby IF’s history are gathered in one place – at ARKEN. This is part of a new (POP-UP) collaboration with Brøndby IF.
A football jersey is much more than a player’s uniform – it is a symbol of community, club identity, and a mirror of society.
In addition, artists Apolonia Sokol x Maison Mourcel, Frederik Næblerød, and Jakob Kolding will present their own interpretations of a jersey.
The (POP-UP) also features a series of photo portraits of Brøndby IF players taken by local children and young people from Brøndby Strand, in collaboration with the NGO Turning Tables. The photographs show a more personal side of the players and invite reflection on what it means to be part of a club and a community.
The collaboration between ARKEN, Brøndby IF, and Turning Tables will expand even further this summer with the opening of THIRD SPACE – a new meeting place for young people in Vestegnen.
