The artists Refik Anadol, Julian Charrière and Marguerite Humeau have shed light on the same theme in three different exhibitions in the NATURE FUTURE exhibition series.
In this publication, curator and researcher Majken Overgaard focusses on Refik Anadol’s artistic practice and on his use of technology at a time when AI fascinates and provokes fear in equal measure. Curator and philosopher of nature Dehlia Hannah examines how the Julian Charrière explores the relationship between humans and nature and the idea of ‘the environmental uncanny’. ARKEN curator Sarah Fredholm takes a close look at Marguerite Humeau’s work, examining it as a speculative mythological narrative in which life, materiality and storytelling are interwoven, paving the way for new and different sensory and cognitive relationships to the world.
